Consists of two items, a broadside, including reviews of two books entitled, George Caleb Bingham, The Evolution of an Artist, and ,George Caleb Bingham, A Catalogue Raisonne. It was written by E. Maurice Bloch, a Professor of Art & Director of the Grunwald Graphic Arts Foundation at the U. of California, Los Angeles, (1967). Also includes a copy of a portrait of Miss Anna Rives Heath, 1841 as an example of Bingham's work. Bingham was born in 1811 in Virginia, and raised in Missouri.
